What’s Next?

Congratulations! It is a great feeling to know you can participate in the natural rights of self-defense, hunting, and the various shooting sports. As with any activity involving firearms, proficiency and accuracy are paramount. Ownership is just one of many aspects of firearms.

Do you know how to handle it properly? Do you know how to use it effectively?

Plenty of people possess a firearm and in many cases know the fundamentals of firing and operation. Even so, many still do not handle their firearms properly. Projx Inc. can provide you the tools and adequate training to become the best marksman you can be.

More often than not many new people to this venture exhibit the same mistakes commonly seen in movies and on TV. My favorite is a big name actor holding a firearm with their finger on the trigger and waving it all over the place, even pointing it at themselves and others on the set. “It’s not loaded!” is a common response to any criticism they receive. Often people are needlessly killed due to improper firearm handling. Are you willing to take that chance?

Here at Projx Inc., we will work with you on the mental and physical aspects required to properly handle a firearm. We adhere to Colonel Jeff Cooper’s Four Basic Rules Of Firearm Safety.

They are:

1) All guns are always loaded. Treat them as such.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it

Firearm disciplines:

• The wonderful world of shotguns.

Whether you are new to the sport or have the experience. Good fundamentals are key. As an NSCA Level II instructor I can help you with the gun fit, stance, and
movement.

• The passionate world of pistols.

As annoying as they are to those who would deprive us of them; a pistol is an excellent tool for self-defense. Compact and effective; many of them have never been used in anger. Those who have stood their ground and defended themselves appreciate having one.

Skill is very important to a pistol owner. A short sight radius; coupled with a poor grip and a trigger press can lead you to disastrous results. I can work with you as an advanced handgun instructor to improve your mindset and handling.

Note: This is not a Concealed firearms class.

• The accurate world of rifles.

Unlike a shotgun or a pistol; your shooting precision will need to be honed. To consistently place accurate shots on target from a distance; your skillset needs to be expanded. The type of rifle and ammunition used to the physical and mental condition of the shooter affect the outcome of every shot. Bringing all these together is crucial to a CMP Master Instructor.

Classes are given on an individual basis or as a small class of up to four individuals. The rate is $90 for an hour lesson. Group rates are available!
